Japan Center is awesome! Plain and simple. Even if this isn't your Swapbox, the fairs and festivals should be on everyone's to do list in SF. It's also a really convenient spot (i.e. there's a parking garage here) for any Japanese shopping and/or food you might want.

Too many attractions nearby to describe (If only China Town or Little Italy were also this concentrated), but we definitely recommend the sushi boat places - there's a hidden gem on the floor above the Swapbox called Tenroku, where the chef's will also make fresh rolls really quickly.
